Who We Are
Dr. Katie Temple (she/her) is a licensed psychologist in Illinois. She earned her PsyD in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in 2023. She completed her doctoral internship at Southern Illinois University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and served as a staff counselor at CAPS until 2026. While there, she worked as the practicum training coordinator between 2023-2025, and served on the Sexual Assault Treatment Team, the Alcohol and Other Drugs Treatment Team, and the Couples Counseling Treatment Team. She specializes in trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, interpersonal relationship difficulties, family issues, substance use concerns, identity and self-esteem, among other presenting concerns. She provides compassionate, confidential care from an evidence-based, culturally informed, and trauma-informed lens, integrating interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), emotion focused therapy (EFT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), among other modalities. Katie has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as individuals and couples.
